Campingplatz Illertissen

The tent was filled with green grasses for comfortable sleeping and the family bathroom was superb~ it’s like being in a hotel.

Lovely site with clean facilities. Spaces can be cramped and one is told which direction to face awnings and door which can lead to two awnings impinging... just make friends. Little pool seemed great for kids. They put up with my terrible German but one person spoke perfect English when I got stuck. Barrier is closed at midday until 2pm: planning around this is not a problem. The "camping lounge" is a (cash only) cafe/bar which does amazing burgers and chips etc - I do mean amazing; I wouldn't normally eat chicken burger and chips but I'd happily go back for another plate from this place. They also do other 'bar type' meals. Little shop at reception does drinks, ice creams etc. Will happily return.

This campsite is great for an overnight stopover. It’s clean and tidy and the reception staff are friendly. Thank you for an enjoyable stay. I read a review that complained about them not sticking to ACSI pricing. I’m 100% behind the owners. Prices to them have gone up hugely and if the owners stick to prices set a year ago, we won’t have an ACSI network as they’ll all be out of business. I was very happy to pay the €28 especially after the prices in Austria and Northern Italy are about €50 per night.
