Café available on site near the Abbey with public access. They offer homemade soup and honey, as well as duck and chicken eggs when in stock. The adult only site is very quiet and offers both hard stands and grass pitches. The site toilets and showers are known for being excellent and consistently maintained. Fishing for salmon and other coarse fish is allowed during the season with a rod license and day ticket available for purchase from the on-site shop. Gas bottle exchanges are facilitated near the security barriers.

Fabulous place in a serene setting. Toilet block facilities are modern clean and heated with free showers. Grounds are maintained on a daily basis and site staff are so friendly. Gas eggs honey available fresh at the site cafe and gas. Only negatives to point but I'm only pointing these out to give a rounded review and would not put me off coming here again, some of the pitches can be a little challenging to level up on. Some of the pitches are 10amp but 16amp pitches are available. Overall great site at a good price in a beautifully location, looks forward to returning in the near future.

We are staying in a tourer caravan, lovely quiet peaceful location and in the grounds of the old derelict Abbey, nice owners the toilet and shower facilities are spotlessly clean the grounds are well attended and there are nice peaceful walks along the side of the river, for a nice meal there is the Chester Moor which is a few minutes drive away but well worth a visit, adult only and dog friendly site.

Some pitches could be larger and a bit more level. As some are very bad which look like they have just been done why not make them level when doing them But this is a lovely quiet site .walks along the river and the Abbey are special amenities and very clean and well maintained
